Elise's Baby Shower

My cousin, Elise, is having a baby! We had a shower for her and I made the cupcakes!

Norah's 2nd birthday

Norah's birthday was a success! She had so much fun. The underwater theme was exactly what she wanted.

We had fun decorating for the party:

Everyone made their own "aquarium."

Then we sang "Happy Birthday" over Shamu and some beluga whales.

Even the pumpkin was themed after Norah's party:

"Yea! Two whales! See Mommy, two whales!"

Jessica's Birthday

October 9th was my sister's (last) birthday, or so she says. She turned 29 so this is her last birthday. She asked me to make the cake for her birthday and since it was a fall themed party, I borrowed the idea used this summer. I used mini M&M's instead of the regular sized ones. I thought it would make it look more realistic. And they were easier to eat too.

Norah locked herself in Jessica's bedroom. David had to take the doornob off. Once we got in, we realized she had also locked herself in the bathroom. Yet another doornob had to come off. Norah was the entertainment...

We kept trying to get Norah to dance. Finally she starting copying Brad, one of Jessica's friends...

Then we went to the Elgin Christmas Tree Farm where they were having a pumpkin festival.

Norah got to ride a really big horse.

We went through a corn maze where Norah lost a hair bow. Luckily, David found it!

Norah had fun on the swing.

And we got to ride through a Spook Alley!

It was a great day.

Norah asked for chicken for breakfast. Since she's gotten pretty picky about her food, I was happy that she was at least telling me what she did want. But it turned out that chicken was just a means to an end...

Long time no blog

So, school's finally over and I'm starting to get better. (I'm on some new medicine that hopefully will work.) I had to get my brother and my husband off the computers so I could do some blogging.

Car accident

In case you haven't seen the photos yet, here they are. As an update, I will be going to see a neurologist on Thursday. Hopefully he will have some advice about what I can do about the extreme dizziness. I can hardly walk around without getting dizzy. If I do too much, I get a headache. I haven't been to work in a week. I hate not being about to do things. I just want this dizziness to go away so I can be normal again. (sorry for the rant)
