Las Vegas

We stopped in Las Vegas on our trip. It was fun to see the famous city for the first time. I'd like to go back again some time and see some of the amazing shows there.

We walked to the Rain Forest Cafe in the MGM hotel for dinner.

Norah does so well in the wrap.

For those of you who have been to one before, you know how they are so extravagantly decorated. I really liked the ceiling. It was the night sky with shooting stars.

David was amazed at the decorations... Here are a few of the pictures he took.

David took a video of us at the Rainforest Cafe. It's a little grainy because it was so dark.

Here is a picture of the strip from one of the many pedestrian bridges.

We walked around for a while and on our way back, we realized that Norah had fallen asleep in the wrap! I didn't even know until I tried to adjust the arm strap. Poor little girl.

Hooray for the camera cord!

I finally found the camera cord and was able to download all of our pictures! Where do I start? First of all, we made it to San Antonio ok, although it was an adventure. It took alot longer now that we have Norah. Once we got here, the apartment wasn't ready. The carpet hadn't been changed (and it needed it). I'll just say that the people who lived her before had a dog, but were not clean people. It wasn't the apartment management's fault. The carpet company didn't come when they were supposed to.

After staying 3 days in the model home, we finally moved in, only to find out that we had neighbors above us even though we are on the top floor. There were raccoons in the attic and they made lots of noise at night. Now that has been cleaned up, and if you've seen my facebook, you'll understand, and things are alot more quiet, except for the fact that we live near the airport and the planes make their descent above our apartment complex. It's just one of those things that you don't realize when you rent an apartment online. We'll get used to the sound, I'm sure. Sometimes, though, I feel like I could wave to the passengers and they'd see me.

We live in a good neighborhood. Lots of nice houses, apartments, and businesses in the area and we're only 20 minutes away from the temple. We love our ward. They have been very nice to us and welcoming.
First off, I have some pictures of Norah in a new dress:

I think this one's funny because she looks confused.

Norah is starting to get into things:
First, it was her own drawer.

Then, it was the video drawer.
"Hey! What's in here?"

"I just want a peek!"

She's getting to be a big girl when it comes to eating.
"Look! I have a cracker!"

"This stuff is strange."

"I'll just put the whole thing in my mouth."
Sometimes, she holds her bottle.
"Bring me FOOD!"

The next post, I'll put up pictures of our trip. Thanks for looking!

Moving Time

In 3 days we will be moving to San Antonio, Texas. Yea! We've been packing and cleaning all week. I can hardly get around anymore. I was going to post some video of Norah scooting but the cord that hooks the camera to the computer got packed so, it'll have to wait until we get into our new place and get everything set up. She also knows her name now and is eating lots of different foods. She get excited when she sees her bottle. She also sits very well now. It looks like she might be getting a couple of teeth in the front on the bottom first. They've still got a ways to go, but they already bother her. She loves the teething ring. Well, I better go get Norah some food, she's eating my arm!

Eating Time

I was feeding Norah one day and I had to step out of the kitchen for a minute. I heard some clanging noises and came back to find this:

She really wanted her food! I had to step out again for a minute so I moved her food farther away, but when I came back I saw this:

It looks like she wants to get my cake! She's really good a grabbing things.
Here's Norah in the dress Eppie gave her.

She's gotten really good at sitting up. She does it all the time now.

Misc. Norah

I didn't have anything to grade this weekend, so I had time to put up a few pictures. These are just some miscellaneous pictures of Norah over the past few weeks.

Norah in her Easter dress.

At the Idaho Falls

She woke up before I did.

Norah likes her new bouncy chair. ( She's staring at the mirror.)

And she liked Carter's too!

Norah in her swing. (It was a little cold that day.)
Seeing pictures like this make you wonder what's she's thinking....
"So...who are you?"
"No, really, who are you?"
"You better tell me who you are right now!"

Update!

Hello everyone! Katherine here.
We saw my mom, dad, and twin brothers a couple of weekends ago when my brother got home from his mission. My mom bought Norah this cute little dress. Thank you, Mom! She looks adorable in it.

Her legs are getting pretty strong. She likes to stand up on our laps alot. We wondered what would happen if we let her try standing on the floor---she did pretty well! She looks so funny and little standing next to the sofa.

I was just playing with Norah one day and she really liked it. She loves to laugh and it is my most favorite thing in the world. I love playing with her after work.

We started feeding her cereal on Sunday. She ate well and she was so cute doing it. All my memories came back about how to feed cereal to babies. It felt like old times to me and I remembered exactly how to do it. It felt good. She ate it all in no time and didn't even get very messy doing it. (It probably won't always be that way. Once she starts moving more, it'll probably get harder.)

She was so funny when she ate. It's easy to tell that she's not sure if she likes it.
"Maybe if I close my mouth, she won't give me any more."
"I don't know how much more of this I can fit in my mouth."

"No, thank you. I've had enough."

On Sunday, we had a surprise snowstorm. It was crazy outside. There was so much wind. When we looked outside we were surprised to see how the snow looked...
